Guest Steev Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Hi I was just wondering if any of you guys use the wizard as your Mp3 player? I need a new player and was thinking about getting a bigger memory card and using my wizard. If you do use the wizard what are your experiences with it? Is it as good as a stand alone player? Cheers S

Cheers S i use the wizard with pocket music + 1gb storage card. It works well. As usual though, prolonged use will drain your battery (depending what else you are doing with the phone) so it may be an idea to get yourself a spare battery for long periods of use. You'll also benefit from upgrading the headphones to something more suitable (which will require an adaptor as the wizard has an odd headphone connector for the ear/mic combo that comes with it) the cost of these items is significantly less than an ipod though ;)
Guest daftveggie Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Use it as my only music player, either in desktop speakers or bluetooth stereo headset. TCPMP is good, but I'm not very happy with the playlists. couple of 512 mini sd cards, that way you can have one in the machine and put new music on the other. One thing that is cool bout TCPMP is you can switch mem cards and have the music still playing.
Guest Webreaper Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 I've got a 1gb minisd card, 3.5mm headphone adapter and pocketmusic too. Works very well. Get around 6 hours playing time....
Guest minty1978 Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 i use mine as an mp3 player when i'm out on my bike. i recommend installing the A2DP bluetooth stereo hack, and get some Moto HT820 BlueTooth Stereo headphones...they are really good quality, and it works as a hands free headset too!
Guest Disco Stu Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 The best replacement music software for PPCs is the free MortPlayer which is easily found with a quick Google. You should easily find a link on this site as many members have posted their praise. I would also recommend taking a trial of the excellent Pocket Player which is available from the MoDaCo software store.
