Guest hyedipin Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Is this possible? Since RAZR sucks at connectivity (no IrDA or direct connect) the only way to try to send files is via BT if that's possible at all?
Guest leethacker Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 I can send files to Moto SLVRs and Moto V635, so I guess it will also work with the Razr. ;)
Guest hyedipin Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 It just doesn't! I have no idea why.. This is really bothering me.
Guest sporkguy Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I can send files from my SP5 to my gf's V3 AND V3i. First you need to make sure the 'RAZR' is set to both visible and make sure the power is set to on.. then click 'find me' and PAIR the device on your SDA. The pairing process seems to be the important part for the V3.. if you dont do it, its unlikely you will be able to send files to it. Once done - you may want to go into paired devices on the V3 and make sure the SDA has the correct permissions to send the file to the V3. Then try sending the file. If its not working, there must be a compatability issue between the USA SDA and the V3 :/
Guest hyedipin Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 Oh man, I forgot how I tried to send file via bluetooth. I recently hard resetted and I think my BT transfer s/w is gone. Which software you are sending files with?
Guest sporkguy Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 Smartexplorer.. but then again the file explorer app and pictures app on the smartphone can beam files over bluetooth.
Guest hyedipin Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 Right, probably that's what it was, it is the one with little boxes at the bottom, file explorer is not giving me the option to BT files over to V3. I will try again but it is not it even letting me pair. V3i, unlocked, is letting me pair (couldn't transfer) but V3, Cingular Branded, is not.. That might be the reason, is there any way cingular could have limited BT?
Guest sporkguy Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 I'd seriously hope not - but then these big companies have the power to do whatever they like to handsets before they are released :S As I said earlier, my Gf's V3 and V3i can receive files from both my Smartphones, so I'm not entirely sure whats going on with yours.
Guest adamos168 Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 gotta check the "beam" under connections for IR and BT to send and receive files :)
