Guest moonshot Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 (edited) I downloaded a trial for 1-calc but then deleted it. Although it has deleted ok, it has left the icon on the start screen. This has also happened for to other trials I downloaded.....I have deleted them but their icons remain. Does anyone know how to get rid of the icons? I have a c600 Thank you. Guest artyom Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 i have a c500 so not sure whether it will be the same or not, and i presume when u say start screen u mean start menu, the way i found to do it was by using smart explorer which u can download from www.binarys.com then navigating to storage|my documents|windows|start menu and then delete the shortcut in there as i say i have a c500 so might not be the same, and there might be a way of doing it without downloading smart explorer, but that is the way that i delete icons
Guest Disco Stu Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 Try reinstalling then using the Add/Remove Programs tool in either ActiveSync or your phone's Settings to uninstall the correct way. Reboot the phone afterwards to complete the process. Of course if you already did that and it doesn't work correctly then you can manually delete the shortcut from \Windows\Start Menu but this never gives you the assurance that nothing has been left behind somewhere. ;)
