Guest Shuflie Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 (edited) 1) Possible but you need to be able to configure it, I haven't really tried. 2) Possible with the orb, but you'd be in breach of your fup on t-mobile if you do that. 3) no idea, but I would think that it probably is. 4) Bluetooth modem can be done but if you're on non pro version of w'n'w its not allowed, wifi access point probably not possible at the moment and if it is it would probably be against the rules too. 5) Quite a bit available. Look on xda-developers.com in the universal section for pre compiled lists of things people use their universals for. Personally I use TCPMP for media playback, newsbreak for RSS feeds, mobipocket for ebooks, pocket weather for the obvious and a few games to otherwise keep me occupied when I should be working. EDIT: One thing you might want to try is OZVGA and use your 640x480 screen to full effect for programs that don't make full use of it by themselves. not everything works well with the full resolution though but its easy enough to swap between 640x480 and 320x240 when you need to. Guest fraser Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 VNC, there are also free viewers. If you are setting up VNC to listen on the internet on your main PC: DO NOT USE REALVNC 4.1. It has a massive security hole. In fact, having VNC listening is a big risk full stop. Personally, I hide it behind VPNs and secure shell tunnels. If you want to stream music, and you have a Linux box, check out GNUMP3d. Cool stuff: sat nav, networking utils (vxUtil), Opera Browser, pPod. Pocket Breeze is a nice Today screen plugin for managing tasks/schedule etc. StopTime for better alarms, stopwatches and cooking timers... ;)
Guest Confucious Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 (edited) Just had a look for pPod and Apple have made them remove it - in fact their site seems to have gone now ;) Edited May 17, 2006 by Confucious
