Guest madu Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 ...we can modify the registry to customise behaviour of our phones. I am not very clever with registry, as in figuring out and creating new keys and values, but surely it can be modified to: 1. Automatically turn on (make permanent) 'Delivery confirmation' for SMS 2. Remove /or change link to an empty sound file/ the bugging tone that makes you deaf for an hour, when the line is engaged. 3. Put messages in Drafts folder when there is an error sending SMS. As for now we have to go to Sent Items and forward the message and then erase all the bollox it puts at the beginning of the message as fwd information, which i personally find very annoying. 4. Enable Attachments for emails - surely it is just disabled for one reason or another (buggy/O don't wanna enable it until free GPRS is no more) and can be enabled. Me thinks. 5. You name it! 6. And again.... Regards madu PS: I do not use MMS. Any way New Message softkey in Inbox could compose SMS by default and add an MMS feature to the Menu softkey?? This is hardly a registry tweak, but I'd find that pretty usefull. PS2: I turned off my 'Save copies of sent items' feature in Inbox> Options> Sending, but it still saves my SMSs to that folder. Or does that only affect emails??
Guest Firaas Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 I find the remote one from eMbedded Visual Tools is easier to use. Go to Tools > Remote Registry Editor...
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 I also had a look for all of those, no luck though :/ I'd leave some of hem to the infamous patch that's (hopefully) due soom...
