Guest Laser_iCE Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 I've watched it get worse and worse over time... But the black line around the sides of the phone is starting to flake really bad... So I've decided to just scratch it off... It appears to be where my palm would always be from holding it, so sweat + heat = nono by the looks of things... Anyone else got the same problem?
Guest Phil Lee Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 That's happening on my Vario as well. I'm not that bothered about it. I decided with the Vario that I'd be a little lass worried about damage to it. That's why it's never lived in a case and just has a screen protector on it.
Guest Sambodeforce Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 XDA Mini-S: Yea, around the camera button & IR. Why didn't they just use black plastic to start with? ;)
Guest Laser_iCE Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 Well I will admit, it looks a hell of a lot better now ... Once you get it all off, it looks like you ahven't done anything to it -- looks better, much like the JAMin.
Guest Pigo Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 i didn't really notice untill I read this post. but mine flakes too. not only arround IR & cam-button but around mini-usb jack aswell. I'll see what happens if it gets worse then I'll scratch it off too. laser-ice... did you scratch off everything off of the keyboard aswell???? Pigo
Guest Laser_iCE Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 Nope, I left the keyboard as is. I simply kept the case close and scratched off all the outer... There's a few places where I can't quite get at yet (I have a habit of biting my nails...), so I'm waiting for them to grow back so I can attack the corners... Man, I noticed last night too just how dirty/"sweaty" the grey part around the outside on the top half is getting ... Looks disgusting ;)
Guest Pigo Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 HAHAHAHAHA.... Glad I didn't start scratching mine :-P you could allway complain to your supplier ;) Maybe they'll let it be covered by the warranty. and get it fixed for ya. Pigo
