Guest madu Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 If there is a possibility to attach files in IA Album, then we must be able to do so in SMS editor - maybe there is just no 'browser' to find the file and attach it... AllExplorer does not seem to be able to do so.. But maybe there can be a little app since we can now run uncert files that will be able to send attachments?? Or a registry switch?
Guest Bazz Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 If there is a possibility to attach files in IA Album, then we must be able to do so in SMS editor Why? They are two different pieces of software. Maybe SMS editor has it but it is switched off, but then again maybe it just can't do it. I haven't got IA Album so I'm not sure if I'm correct but I don't get your point :? And yeah you could write a little app, but you've got IA Album haven't you? Or did you mean write a free app cause like me you ain't baught it yet? Confused :?
Guest DJHope Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 I managed to send an attachment (on the move) the other day using my spv and no activesync, very dodgy tho: 1) Use ia album to send an attachment photo (to your intended recpient)! 2) Dont do send and recieve just yet 3) Goto IPSM/MAPI/ATTACHMENTS (using all explorer) 4) Copy whatever file you need to attach their 5) Rename the file to one of the other files in the ATTACHMENTS folder 6) Do a send a recieve I really dont imagine that it would be hard to write an app todo email attachments, ask IA Album if you need help, id have a go but ive got so many exams atm! Guest madu Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 sorry, just didn't make myself clear. say, if you use IA albun to attach a file, then it goes to SMS/email composer. there you would see the file is attached.. so as it seems the composer can handle the attachments, but can it attach? No. Regarding soft - maybe IA album would do an app for that?? Or AllExplorer could include such a feature. And no, I'm not like you and I did splash out some dollars to get IA Album - brilliant piece of soft. So is AllExplorer. Regards madu
Guest Bazz Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Aaaah get you now. Didn't realise that's how IA Album works. So I presume you want a little app to do general attachments rather than just pictures which IA Album does - correct?
Guest madu Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Exactly!! I presume it would only need a tyny part of IA Album code... Surely they could easily make an app adding a few strings to the code or making a little update for the program so it allows to attach any file + multiple files (as now it only allows to attach 1 file per email). Doubt that O would certify that though, lol
