Guest Paul (MVP) Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 Windows Media Player 11 has been made available by Microsoft for download in Beta, and offers an improved sync experience as well as much improved library management! The download can be found here at the Microsoft site, and visit this page to find out more about syncing media in Windows Media Player 11! P

Guest Madeye Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 It's nice to know they're bringing out new stuff WITHOUT support for win XP x64 edition! It won't even let me download! ;) Even tho 64 bit windows can emulate 32 bit programs anyway, grrrr.
Guest mini_man Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Do you think that they will now release WMP 11 for Smartphone when its officially out?

Guest Confucious Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 it will run on 64bit PCs provided they are running Windows XP Home or proffesional. It won't run on any other OS eg XP64, SBS, Server 2003 etc.

About to sound daft but this xp64 thingy is it avaiable now or is it another name for Vista etc because i haven't seen anything on it!
Guest Confucious Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 It is available now - if you go to Microsoft.com windows home it is listed as Professional x64 edition. Unless you need it I wouldn't bother though - all device drivers need writing for it and to many don't exist to make it viable for your average user IMHO
