Guest specialbrew Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 I'm thinking of abandoning my trusty C500 for a Vario, but I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with using this device with a drawing app like Orneta Paint... although it's hardly going to be Photoshop, has anyone found it useful or does it even work properly (stylus tracking and what have you)? ta
Guest Laser_iCE Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 I use Pocket Artist for drawing, and I mainly use it to write "You are gay" and hold it up while I'm in a lecture... But besides that, it's got some cool airbrushing utilities and stuff, and shitload of options too... Highly recommended ;)

Will it save the world from poverty, will it halt global warming?? The answer is no, but the Vario is great for writing "You are gay" and showing to other people in situations where you really should be concentrating on learning stuff!!! If only I had my Vario when i was at uni! The screen on my old C500 just wasn't big enough!

Guest specialbrew Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Thanks all for the feedback, particularly esh for attaching the cab - sadly T-Mobile are *very* vague on delivery dates for the Vario, so I may yet go with the M600 as Orange have (more or less) matched the Flex plan I was going to go for... I wonder if anyone has come across any online galleries of smartphone art?

Guest specialbrew Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 Well, in the end I did go with a T-Mobile Vario and, aside from rather poor battery performance, it's a good device I think. Studio Atelier has proved to be excellent, once you've got used to the slightly peculiar 'plug in' interface, although I'd like an app that lets me define the initial pixel dimensions of the image as the default is maybe a little too tiny.
