Guest Philpo Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Hey guys, I've been searching the forums and couldn't find an answer to my question so i thought i'd start a new post. I just received a replacement c600 with a new version of the software on it. I see that they have changed a couple of things including the fact i can't install the HTC registry editor. Is there a different registry editor i can use and/or a different way of app unlocking the phone now? ;) It was a bit of a shock when i couldn't get the registry editor working! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards -P
Guest sporkguy Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 I read somewhere that if you email the Orange Developers team with your full name, imei, address etc - then they will usually email you within a couple of days with a device-specific .exe file that unlocks it for you.
Guest Philpo Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Thats a bit rubbish really. One of the main reasons i want to be able to app unlock is for the contact menu cab that allows you to send business cards to contacts from here: http://www.airfagev.com/downloads1.asp?id=118 I'm not a developer or anything, just wanted my new c600 to be the same as my old c600 ;) Thanks for your reply tho sporkguy
Guest sporkguy Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Just tried that app on my SP5 and although it works, on the second screen where you select the details you want to send, there are two tick boxes, but there is just blank after them - which indicates WM5 compatibility isnt brilliant yet. I'd recommend searching round the forums for a bit, you may dig up a workaround to get it to install.
Guest Philpo Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Yea that's the same problem i had on my old c600. However i worked out which two boxes to check and then just left them like it. It worked apart from not being able to see the text! Really usefull app
