Hi!

I have a strange problem with my SP5. I once set the alarm to 6:00 am (last Sunday) and even though I've since changed my alarm time it still goes off at 6:00 am ;)

It also works at whatever time I set it for - so having the alarm call at a particular time is no problem...

the only problem is that I don't want to wake up everyday at 6! :P ;)

Any idea what could be the problem/solution (other than hard reset which I would prefer not to do)

Doesn't really help me cos the software mentioned is PPC only.

I think it may also be something to do with registry keys... Can someone post the contents of the registry (if alarm is set for 7:00 am) of the following:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Clock\0\AlarmFlags

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Clock\0\AlarmHandle

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Clock\0\AlarmTime

HKCU\System\State\Shell\Reminders\Alarms\Next

And I could compare and see if I have something extra somewhere.

I think it happens sometimes if you change the alarm time without turning the alarm off first.

Set your alarm for 6:00 hit ok, the go back to the menu and toggle it on, hit ok, then back to the menu and toggle off, then hit ok. Basically u want an off->on->off toggle with the time set to that date, exiting the menu each time.

I think this solved the problem (tested by changing the time to 5:59 am and no alarm at 6:00 am) - but I'll keep my fingers crossed till it really is 6!
