Use smartphone as remote for PPC

Hi

I'll explain what the situation is: I recently altered my carstereo system. I now have a carstereo that has my MDA Vario hooked up to it. Now I play mp3's and video's on my Vario and the sound goes through my sound system. (I'll post some pictures and a full spec soon). And while playing with it I had a great idea.

It should be possible to use my Orange C500 as a bluetooth romote control for my vario.

I know that there are bluetooth input devices around like keyboards and gamepads. so it should be possible to make an application that turns a HTC Typhoon in to a input device. Plus there are applications that use your bluetooth connection to vontrol your PC. so it should be possible.

Could someboddy PLEAAAASEEE help me with this?? I think I won't be the only one who could use this app.

Like I've said before. If I could program I'd gladly do it myself but I can't ;)

hmm you could try my WMP Remote application - thing is it only controls WMP on your PC!

are you saying you want to control a mobile device via bluetooth? I'm unclear.... ;)

after rereading - i think this is what you are saying.... i was actually thinking about something like this a couple of days ago..... would be interesting to see if it could be developed as you need a "port" to connect to for any communication, and PPC/smartphone doesn't quite have that I don't think but I am still looking into it more!

for all clearity:

Should be possible. if a bluetooth keyboard can work a a mobile device. then this should be possible aswell. right?

btw. I use TCPMP. WMP sucks <_<

i could argue with the tcmp thing but im not gonna - and we are talking about WMP on the PC controlling from the mobile device! ;) But lets not get into this as it gets a bit OT from your thread.

what dont you guys understand? he wants to be able to play pause switch track etc of his vario via bluetooth from his C500.

Probs for people sittin in the back of his car, sureley its possible like jeyo remote but for ppc.
