MDA vario and activesync installation. "Please update service pack..blah"

Hi i am trying to sync my mda with pc but aparently i need activesync 4.1 for it to work. When i downloaded activesync it gave me an error saying "activesync 4.1 cn only be installed on pcs running windows xp. etc etc....running the latest service packs"

I am running XP with servicepacks.

can anyone help me on this?

Are you sure you have service pack 2?

to find out if you are running SP2,

click 'Start' then 'Run'

then type 'winver' and hit return.
