C600 - Photo Send/Receive Problem

Hi all, I've gone back a few pages and can't see any problems like this one so hope it's OK to do the new post. I haven't done much sending/receiving of photos of late so not sure when this problenm first presented I'm afraid.

What i do know is that photos are saved to my 1GB storage card which is almost totally empty right now. i also have 18MB or so system memory free according to task manager. yet when i try to send or receive photos via MMS the phone tells me that I haven't enough storage to send/receive the file and to free up some space. If I free up any more space I am going to have a very expensive paper weight! lol. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

ps go to start settings/more/about for available storage:

ive got 9.46 MB

Total Storage:16.94 MB

got nothing to do with memory card ;)
