Hi.

I have a problem syncing my Orange SPV M600 using DirectPush and I would like to ask the forum for help.

This is the story so far:

We have our own Exchange servers (2003 SP2 Front and back end)

All Exchange SSL services work well (OMA, OWA and rpc/http)

We have a self-signed certificate with our fqdn

I got the certificate on to the phone in the root cert location using the .cab supplied by Orange Partners (registration required)

so...

When I fire up activesync on the phone it finds the server and the content, tells me how many items have changed and then.....nothing ;)

If I make a change to an item on the phone (calender, contact or email), it syncs immediately with Exchange :P

but...

Any changes made to Outlook (new mail, contacts or appointments) don't make it on to the phone even though it is aware of the change. ;)

Does this ring any bells with anyone?

Have any forum members got their m600 to work with DirectPush?

Any feedback appreciated. Orange data support refuse to discuss this with me: "not supported" apparently.

Thanks everyone,

LS

Forum:

It's the Anti Virus....!

From MS Partner forum:

Server ActiveSync does not download all items during a synchronization

session

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=827615

Exchange ActiveSync cannot synchronize items in a store when the virus

scanner on the Exchange Server 2003 server is configured not to scan that

store

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=894065

If you are using PureMessage, you can refer to the article below.

PureMessage for Windows/Exchange: synchronization with PDAs fails when

using ActiveSync

http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebas...ticle/3186.html

We use PureMessage on our Exchsrvr and it was previously set to Global Scanning (less like hard work for the server)

DirectPush rocks....until I get the GPRS bill ;)
