Outlook to storage card?

Hi, I am just playing about more with my MDA Vario and cannot seem to make the outlook store all emails/attachments to the storage card, as I could do with my SPV C500 and Imate SP5m

I modified the correct registry:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\MAPI

"AttachPath" key to point to "\Storage Card\Mail\Attachments"

and "PropertyPath" to point to \Storage Card\Mail".

And created the appropriate directories however when I reboot the device, my homescreen is all gone and empty! No shortcuts/quicklists or calander appts there at all. And if I sync with Activesync it wont. As soon as i remove it, it works fine.

How can I store emails to the storage card?

I have no idea how to alter my registry but understand it is risky.

Do i just run a registry editor program, and then just enter the commands you list, a bit like entering commands at a dos prompt?
