Guest jcostantino Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 I've got a 2125 and the screen is very hazy from a bunch of very light scratches. Is there anything I can do to reduce or fix them? I've tried lightly buffing with a compound but it didn't help (or hurt, for that matter) at all. I didn't want to press TOO hard and make it worse. What are my options? Are there replacement lenses? Would applying a screen protector over the scratched part reduce the obviousness of the scratches?
Guest kam_ Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Everyone swears by dispex! I think a screen protector on top will just make it even more hazy

Guest danolaru Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 could you make a tutorial on how to remove scratches i also want to remove some scratches but i fear that i could hurt the screen
Guest jcostantino Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 Ok, I managed to get 90% of it off. Reading the Displex instructions, it suggested to press hard so I was using VERY firm pressure on a piece of t-shirt material and it's almost completely clear. I'm using Meguiar's #7 Show Car Glaze, which is actually used prior to waxing a car to remove light surface imperfections. I don't know how fine the abrasive is compared to anything else but it takes forever to polish so I'm expecting it's extremely fine. Thanks a lot everyone! I was looking at a $45 housing on eBay and now I don't have to worry about that!
