How to set t9 as the default entry method on c600/2125?

I'd like to set my default input method on my cingular 2125 as t9 so I don't have to change it every time I enter a program. I know on windows mobile pocket pc there is a registry tweak that lets you set the default input method, Is there a registry tweak that will accomplish this on smartphone edition?
