Guest Mikeydav Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 Hi, Question as title : can anyone tell me if the HTC StrTrk / Qtek 8500 supports my Orange Line 2 facility ? I bought an M500 as an upgrade to my C500 and found out the sad fact that it doesn't :) so I don't really want to be caught out again. Thanks, Mike

Although Qtek is allegedly the brand owned by HTC all support is done by distributers / retailers and they are unlikely to know either. Line 2 may well be a function of the firmware loaded on the device so one version of the StrTrk may differ from another, and that isn't upto HTC, it's down to the resellers. You're best bet is to ask i-mate about the 'smartflip' version when it comes out as they at least have a support network, or perhaps wait for an Orange version if one does indeed surface as rumoured. Actually, AIUI, there has to be hardware support as well - at least I saw posts to that effect regarding the Orange M500 and its lack of support for Line 2. I will try emailing i-mate as you suggest. Many thanks, Mike
