recommended mapping software?

does anybody know of mapping software a la mapopolis, where i don't have to hook up a bt gps and still get directions between two addresses? i don't really like mapopolis' interface, and would prefer something a little bit easier to use (maybe icon-driven like tomtom, but tomtom doesn't seem to be able to spit out directions between two addresses)

You can use TomTom without GPS somewhat under the "Advanced Planning" menu, where you can get directions etc between any two points.
