latest rom for i-mate JAMin?

Hi All,

I just bought an i-mate Jamin. Can anyone tell me what the latest ROM version is, and where I can get it? Are there alternatives to the i-mate ROM?

My device reports:

ROM version: 1.0.9.25 WWE

ROM date: 01/09/06

Radio version: 4.0.12.25

ExtROM version: 1.0.9.114

Windows version: 5.1.70 (build 14409.1.1.2)

I updated from the iMate website about 6 weeks ago, and my Jamin has been rock-solid stable since (I did uninstall the Skype and Virus-blocker). The numbers are:

ROM version: 2.13.9.23 WWE

ROM date: 01/09/06

Radio version: 4.0.12.25

ExtROM version: 1.0.9.114

Windows version: 5.1.195 (build 14847.2.0.0)

Did you use the "ROM Upgrade for Telstra Australia"? That appears to be the only update for the JAMin on the i-mate site (imate.com).

I wonder why the "ExtROM" version is lower?

Have a look on ftp://ftp.clubimate.com there are three Jamin roms and the early April WWe one is probably the best prophet rom available.

hi guys.

i've got an spv m600 but would like to get my hands on a rom that permits the old A2DP bluetooth mp3 stuff. does this rom do this and if so do you know how i could get it without having an imate phone (without which i can't log on to their web site and get their stuff!)

The imate roms don't have A2DP but they are the best prophet roms out there. You can get them from ftp://ftp.clubimate.com without registering - but you will need some research over at xdadevelopers to get your device in a state where it can accept a non-orange rom.
