Guest ang.broadhurst Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Hi,does anyone know of a remote control, usb or bluetooth that can be plugged into vario to control tcpmp player. The original headphones have only a volume and talk button but no facility for selecting next /previous tracks,play/pause or anything else.A small bluetooth one would be very nice, dont know if there are any phones that are supplied with one that would work with vario.Thanx
Guest Tech Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 lol i was thinkin of doing a similar thing tbh for WMP - but i dont think such a device exists - yet im actually in talks with one of my university professors about developing such a device or something - even if we can get hold of a wide distributed device would be cool if you find one - lemme know :)
Guest Pigo Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 now i was sking the same thing on another post. i was asking for a piece of software for the c500 to control the vario as i have a c500 to spare. but if there is a hardware type of remote for the vario then i would be just as interested. maybe your friend could write the software i need for my c500. could you ask? willing to pay :-D (as long as it's reasonable) Pigo
Guest Tech Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 you would need a small usb remote control device which connects to the mini USB port on the Vario or smartphone... that would be ideal and is what I am trying to talk about with some ppl
Guest Pigo Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 (edited) ah too bad! I was thinking of a bluetooth thingamajig at least that's what I need for the C500-Vario thing.. but still interested. let me know if you make progress pigo Edited May 29, 2006 by Pigo
Guest daftveggie Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 I was looking for the same thing, I have a bluetooth headset with the A2DP profile supported, works all good. Even switches to the heatset profile when a call drops in and that's all good as well. There are a couple of extra buttons on the headset that can skip tracks, pause, play and stop the music, but these don't seem to work wit MortPlayer or TCPMP I've even tried the assign key function, but the program simply doens't recognise the buttons on the headset. Any ideas?
Guest matheprat Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 Doesn't MS voice command allow you to skip foreward/backward in a playlist?
Guest Swampie Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 you would need a small usb remote control device which connects to the mini USB port on the Vario or smartphone... that would be ideal and is what I am trying to talk about with some ppl Won't work. The USB port on the Wizard is a slave device, not a host. It cannot control USB devices, but it can connect to other host devices and appear on the host device (ie. PC + ActiveSync etc). Your only chance is to make/find a Bluetooth remote controller which has WM5 support.
Guest Pigo Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 Must be some great developers here that can achieve this. right??? Pigo
