Guest hyedipin Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 I am looking for ready formatted 240x320 or similar resolution web site templates. I want to create a few websites using those, if anyone knows, please let us know. I also thought of getting phpnuke or similar cms' that offer "avantgo" format, but they are pretty weak when it comes to content management on mobile version. Thank You

Thank You why not just run a regular website and then get a plugin so its autmoatically formated on a mobile phone?
Guest hyedipin Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 Normally those things check the browser identification, and based on the ID forwards the domain to a mobile subdomain or another site which is formatted for a small screen. Now, I need a template or something to create that mobile formatted screen. Otherwise I have to do site all text/html, simple links etc. But I am looking for a template or cms specifically designed for mobile browsing. Thanks.
Guest misimo Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 What program are you using? In Dreamweaver 8 you can make a standard xhtml mobile 1.0 I
Guest hyedipin Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Thank you misimo, I will try this. One problem I was facing is that sometimes SDA identifies itself as if was full IE and not PIE, therefore site is not getting properly formatted/forwarded. I noticed that at www.aximsite.com which is supposed to forward to mobile site, but it wasn't. But I will try this. Also, what I meant with template is, just like any site, I remember seeing mobile template. So when you start the program to create a new site, you could use wizard and select mobile site, and it would have certain fields filled for you and links, etc. Since we cannot use frames properly, it is a pain to keep content alive, and we need to edit all the pages if we have menu style page.
Guest misimo Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Hi again! You can make your template I Dreamweaver , I
Guest hyedipin Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 Misimo, gracias my friend. Or Gratzi :) Whichever works. I will try this soon, but I think my dreamweaver is the old version, I have to dig deep into my backup to see what version I got. Thanks again.
