TomTom 5.21 installation failed

Hey all,

I'm trying to install TomTom 5.21 on a qtek 8310.

I've applied some registry changes from this forum to "unlock application" the telephone to be able to install programs.

But i'm still getting the message "Installating of ttn.cab is failed , the installation file isn't meant for this device.

It may be a bit diffrent because i have a dutch phone and tried to translate the message to english ....

This version of TomTom does work on a qtek 9100 (also windows mobile 5)

you have to make sure you have the correct tomtom as the update for tomtom mobile does work and i have a dutch phone as well, if you have downloaded the ppc version it will not work, if you have still got problems then email tomtom and they will help you :)

I thought i had a ppc version, but i'm not sure about that.

But the version works on a qtek 9100 which also uses windows mobile 5.....

But you get this error only if the version really can't be installed on the device ?

And you get another error if the application isn't prohibited to be installed because an application lock for example ?

From your original post and as already been ststed you are trying to install Tomtom navigator (For Pocket PC) when you should have Tomtom Mobile (for smartphone). Your original error message was correct, the installation file isn't meant for that device.

You cannot install a Pocket PC application on a Smartphone - the 8310 is a smartphone.
