Hi

Have just got a O2 mini s and am generally very pleased. However, I cannot seem to get hardly ANY games to run with it at all (Java through MDILet or Pocket PC). I have tried trial download games from handango.com and clickgamer with no success (every time it just says this is not a pocketPC application).

I have just been downloading them on my PC and transferring them to a folder on my mini s via USB - is this Ok or do I have to download them direct to the Mini S?

Java games tend to not be recognised or start and then hang.

I have only managed to get a JAVA asteroids and Kriegsgefangen from freewarePPC.com running so far, but have tried over 20 others.

Help please! I would really like to get a few (say half a dozen) games to prevent boredom when commuting!

Thanks

Sico

Have a look at pdamill's website HERE, they make some of the best games out and there are loads of trials to download before you buy. not tried any java games though...

Non-Java games? The same way you install apps. If I was home I'd look up the name for it, but it's an app that you send the item to through window's "send to" right click dialog.

Most games that you download are installers that are to be run on your home PC. Once the files and everything have been extracted from the installer, Active Sync kicks in and then the files are transfered to your phone, along with all the settings. It's during this time that you are able to decide whether to install the game to the phone's memory or the storage card.

For the other games that come in .cab format, you need to copy them to your phone (in your My Documents folder is normally the easiest location, or the root directory of the Storage Card), and then execute the file (even though there is no proper icon for the .cab format, it will still run).

As for Java ... I got no idea, don't know why you would want java games when there are an abundance of awesome windows based games out there!
