Hi sorry to keep posting problems but this really is the best place for smartphones :)

Problem #1=when ever the phone is turned on and has loaded up i get a little box in the top left side of the screen saying...

"ERROR Copyfiles is unable to parse the config file and is therefore exiting. Please check the copy files and try again"

How can i remove this?

Problem #2

I unlocked my phone that was on orange to o2, and when it boots up the orange screen comes on for ages, is there some sort of tweak or anything to remove this or swap the image for a different picture?

Thanks again

Hi.

1. Sounds like you have CopyFiles utility installed on your phone and could be that there is a missing file stated on 'CopyFiles.config'. To remove, you may reinstall or uninstall the program (Mossywell's CopyFiles utility)

2. Network unlocking the phone won't change the carrier splash screen. My network unlocked Orange C550 for example (using Smart telecoms Philippines SIM card) will still boot with the Orange sunset screen first followed by 'Windows Mobile' image. There is a way to tweak the boot speed of these images or even use a different .

Have a look at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Splash Screen

MSShutdownBitmap

MSBitmap

CarrierShutdownBitmap

CarrierBitmap

You can use another graphic file then specify the timeout.
