can't set voice box number

Hi there,

since this forum helped me before I try it again :) I have a HTC wizard. I bought it in England (O2) and now am in Switzerland. I played the software of the local provider (Orange Switzerland) onto the device:

ROM: 2.16.1.1 GER

Date: 2/6/06

radio: 01.04.10

protocol: 4.0.13.17

ExtROM: 2.16.1.111

Operator: 12.16.5.111

Everything works but the preset for the voice box! Has anybody an idea why this wouldn't work and why I can't change it? If I go to the speed dial and from there to the settings, voicebox and SMS I see the standard SMS number but there is nothing for the voice box. If I enter it myself and press ok it will be emptied again!

For the moment I have put my own number onto speed dial 2 but it seems spooky to me. Anybody an idea?

Ask the network to send it to the device via sms - it is a network setting so they should be able to do it.

I did. By requesting it on the phone and via the providers homepage. They actually said that they can't configure my phone by SMS since it wouldn't support it :)

Anyway, it's not the end of the world but jsut gives this tainted feeling about this nice piece of hardware :)
