Is it possible to use my SP5 as a way to connect my laptop to my wireless network? As my wireless card has broken and I was wondering if this was possible over bluetooth or usb.

Cheers,

Chris

Use question marks when asking a question. Especially in your thread titles. Otherwise, people will think you're TELLING them how to use their phone as a WiFi access point, rather than ASKING them if it is possible. Get it?

you may want to try PDAnet (google it and click on the first link). there is a palm version which i used to get on the internet with my laptop and treo650 without problem. they now have a windows mobile version which should work with your laptop connected via usb cable to your smartphone. there is also a beta option to use bluetooth to connect, but i haven't gotten that to work yet.

Thanks, but unfortunately that doesn't work for me as when I connect my phone to the laptop it automatically turns off wifi :)

ActiveSync - Enabled Wi-Fi while charging phone

1. Connect the phone to the PC. ActiveSync will immediately synchronize and Wi-Fi will be disabled on the phone.

2. Using ActiveSync on the PC, click File -> Connection Settings to open the Connection Settings screen.

3. Clear the check box for Allow USB Connections and click OK.

4. Wi-Fi will automatically be re-enabled on the phone.

You will need to go through this procedure each time you connect the phone to the PC.
