Home screen focus issue

I am running this on a Motorola MPX220, Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, using the MPX software version 1.430.0.0. I have the same issues when running on an Audiovox SMT5600 (or Orange device).

The problem

If I am running an application (TomTom, Mapopolis, PocketMusic) the home screen will steal the focus away from the application. I then have to hit the back button to return focus to the application I was using. Unforutantely I have not fully defined the frequency which this happens. It appears I have to been idle for sometime (this can be anywhere between 5 minutes to 1 hour).

Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Go into Settings, Homescreen and set Timeout to Never.
