Guest mrmackey Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 Does anyone know how to change the button functions on the sda smartphone? The main reason is that the three biggest buttons on the device are all used to control windows media player, how gay is that?. Like I even need one button for that. Anyway it would be nice to use these for something worthwhile like a shortcut to email, or something. Anyhelp would be great Thanks!

Still a smartphone so I am going to try it anyway. But if it does work it will be sooo much better. Thanks!
Guest yoos Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 I do NOT take credit for this... I copied this into a text file from somewhere (maybe from here on MoDaCo??) Yes. Attached the modified button shortcuts to be copied in to you Windows folder, overwriting the originals. The shortcuts only will work if you installed TCPMP on your storage card!. Your phone has to be fully unlocked to enable it to overwrite system files. Check this forum for instructions, there are plenty of posts about it. As said, the hardware buttons (3) on your i-mate SP5m/Qtek 8300 will now open TCPMP player. In the settings of TCPMP you can assign the correct functions (back, forward and play/pause) to the buttons. So what to do.. Firstly he unlocked his phone as previously mentioned he then went to http://www.ghisler.com/smartphone.htm to get a hold of Total Commander for Smartphone After installing ToTal Commander he 1) Started TC 2) Pressed >>File>>More>>Find Files 3) In Info_on_changing_music_buttons_on_SDAM.zip
