Guest Tech Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 (edited) Hi folks, hope you are all well! :) I thought I would post this here. This is an application again just like WMP Remote, for the PC and mobile device. DAR~ling is a Digital Audio Recorder for your PC. It also allows you to remotely manage/control it via your Smartphone/PPC having .NET CF 2.0. You can connect to it just as you did with WMP Remote (via bluetooth/gprs/wireless/usb cable) The purpose of DAR~ling is simple: To automatically record your favourite radio shows/broadcasts/audio - any audio playing through your soundcard, from a set start and end date/time. It is like a digital VCR! It was a long 6 month project and I am pretty happy with it myself after completion, and hope you find it of use! DAR~ling is ideal if you want to record the World cup 2006 audio streams, in case if you are away :) Requirements: Windows XP/2000/2003 or higher .NET Framework 2.0 (setup downloads this for you) Mobile: .NET Compact Framework 2.0 (best used on QVGA devices) Direct Download: http://www.spapps.co.uk/apps/Spar/download...ingserverv1.zip http://www.spapps.co.uk/apps/Spar/download...ingClientv1.zip check out: http://www.spapps.co.uk/apps/Spar bug center: http://bugs.spapps.co.uk/darling Remember to keep checking for updates within the application ;) I appreciate your feedback and value them! If you find any bugs or have a suggestion, please feel free to post here, email me from the website or PM me here - I would be greatful! Many thanks, have a great day :D Edited June 2, 2006 by Tech
Guest conan_troutman Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 I think many people like my selve avoid any thing that needs .net 2.0 as it kills so much memory space on your phones and seems pointless for the few applets that use it
Guest nevawlkalone Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 Sp whats the crack with this? baisically you can set up a recording session while away from your pc usin your WM Smartphone?
Guest Tech Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 (edited) indeed that is correct As for the post on "uses too much memory" im afraid that is incorrect. It does not use much memory at all and is developed very efficiently. Try it and see! The application is installed on the PC and you can control it from there as you would do with any app, or control it via the mobile edition! .NET 2.0 is being used almost everywhere now and will have more applications developed in .NET 2.0 (just like 1.1) in the near future. So it's best to take advantage whilst you can. But you dont have to use the mobile edition! This is an additional feature. Edited June 19, 2006 by Tech
Guest conan_troutman Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 no I think you have mistaken my coment on uses too much memory I was refering to .net.20 I uses alot of memory and considering you say it is needed to make your applet work not many people will want that much memoery taking up just for one applet
Guest Tech Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 (edited) sure :) The storage/installation will be a bit more from the last version no doubt, for obvious reasons (more features etc....) well there are many apps that will be and are made in .NET 2.0 which people will require anyway at some point but as I said, the Mobile Edition is just an extra feature if you require it :) Edited June 19, 2006 by Tech
