SP5 diverting calls while abroad

On a recent trip to Germany, my i-mate SP5 (ROM version 2.0.8.0) started to divert incoming calls to the answering service when i pressed the answer button to answer the call. This did not happen all the time, but often enough to be really annoying. This never happens when in Norway, where I live, or in the US.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? Any info on how to fix it if possible would be greatly appreciated.
