Guest Savage_Gizmo Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 right i'm a newbie so don't be too harsh on me, i've tried searching the forum for a solution but i can't really see any. i did find something saying in regards to the qtek 8310 that you could use the spv services to unlock it. is this true and would this work for my v1240. also another stupid ass question, what's the major difference between the qtek 8310, sp5 and v1240, coz they look the same, but what's the difference, branding??? any help would be mucho appreciated
Guest fluffcat1 Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 Might be a moot point - I doubt your v1240 is actually locked. Mine wasn't. As far as the different phones go, the v1240 has slightly different colouring of the plastic casing but the only real difference is operator software - the v1240 doesn't have pocket msn for example IIRC. Richard fingers crossed it already is unlocked but i bought it off ebay and it did say that it was sim locked to vodafone. but if it is locked, would spv services be the right software to use to unlock it???
Guest Savage_Gizmo Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 got the phone this morning, put in my o2 sim card and wallah, it's already unlocked. so no further help required thanks
