k-jam ROM upgrade HANGS - HELP!

HI,

I have upgraded the ROM to 2.16.9.1WWE of i-mate k-jam - it just simply hangs.

I installed vbar which shows memory programme availble and after boot up when NO PROGRAMME is launched, it shows 40% memory available.

When the phone hangs, the screen freezes and most time the vbar memory icon is at full red - 0% memory available. I am guessing there is a memory leak of some sort or the OS is just eating up all the memory which does not leave any to launch a programme.

I have written to i-mate but no help :)

SOME ONE PLEASE HELP ME.... I HAVE SPENT LOTS OF MONEY ON THIS PHONE & FEEL BAD THAT AT TIMES CANT EVEN TAKE A CALL :)

Did you hard reset after the device completed its customisation and reset itself?

WM5 devices usually need a further hard reset after a rom upgrade (even though it restarts itself after the operator settings are loaded).

If you did, then the first port of call would still be a hard reset, and then if that doesn't fix it, run the rom upgrade again.

As suggested by you, I did hard re-set...yes the problem seems to have gone :) THANK YOU....

But the memory available is only 18.55 out of 40.01MB without having any app running...so when i run multiple apps the memory becomes almost zero & then i get scared & turn off some apps....however the device has not hung again which is a good thing :)

Any suggestions how to get more memory to run multiple apps...
