Guest rafael1119 Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 All, I have a really annoying issue with my phone and I was hoping some one out there has a fix for it. Basically, when I come out of the subway (train, or after turning my phone on after a flight), it takes my phone in excess of 5 minutes to get a signal. Some times I have to turn the device off and on several time. People around me can use their phone immediately after coming out of the subway but I have to wait for a long time. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Rafael

Two ways to force it to acquire a signal: enable and disable Flight Mode; or keep trying to make a phone call, even if the phone shows no signal bars. These work some times. But I do have some situations when I just have to wait. This is easily the biggest annoyance with WM smartphones. (I had the same problem with my Audiovox SMT5600.) Pavan

Guest Seth Cold Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 no difference using other ROM versions?
Guest pavankp Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 no difference using other ROM versions? I haven't seen much difference with the ROM versions I have used. On the Typhoon the problem occured with the Cingular ROM and the WM5 ROM, and with the Tornado, it happens with i-mate's pre- and post-AKU2 ROMs. Pavan
