Guest texaspeaks Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 I'm at my wit's end here. I got my new 2125 last week, installed Activesync, and it ran fine for several days. I've configured my firewall to allow it to run, and I had no problems until Sunday. Out of the blue, Activesync wouldn't even show up in the system tray. Whenever I try to start it, I see it pop up in the task manager for about 5 seconds, and then it disappears. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I've updated to 4.1 and even the 4.2 beta. I've done system restores to various points within the last two weeks. I've shut down my antivirus, antispyware, and firewall. All to no avail. Everytime I try to start it, it shuts itself down, no matter what I do. Any ideas?
Guest liquideagle Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 I'm having the same problem, so I'm interested to see if anyone's got any solutions.

Guest urbanbiker Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 hi! one question 4 u: have u recently used any software like HTC Unlock or something, cause if u have i know the answer. Check this link for details: http://www.modaco.com/Activesync-Version-C...ed-t241537.html I have a Cingular 2125 and Activesync does not open. However, the ActiveSync does appear in the system tray. I plug in the phone and hold the cursor over the icon. It will give a message that the phone is connected or not. Then right click and a list will appear. You can them go to explore or sync. Or try to sync from you phone instead. Sometimes you may have to unplug and replug your phone for the connection to take.
Guest Norion Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Texaspeaks, I had the same problem. By coincidence I discovered that if I logged off and then logged in as another user, activesync would start and stay open. If i then logged back into the other account it would start there aswell. ofc i had to do this procedure every time i turned on my computer but at least it worked :D
