Since a few days I have my new Qtek S200 with Windows Mobile 5.0. The problem is that I can't connect it to my desk computer. I downloaded the ActiveSync 4.1 from the "Getting started" CD and tryed to connect my Qtek via USB cabel. The computer sees my device and says that is working correctly. The programs from CD are downloaded correctly (I preinstalled them a couple of times). When I start the connection it says that every port is working correctly (included USB) but the device was not detected!. I use Windows XP with 2 Pack, firewall Kerio Personal 4 and antivirus Avast 4.7 Home Edition.

I really don't know what should I do to connect correctly my device :) . Please, help me giving some ideas, maybe you had the same problems and you could share with me your experiences!

My best,

Marcin

most likely the firewall is causing the problem

make sure that the firewall has allowed access for activesync or temporarily disable the firewall when you are trying to establish a connection with activesync :)

Thanks a lot. It was a firewall. I didn't expect that it was the problem.

But there is still another problem: from the "getting started" CD I copied also Outlook mobile. I see it on the list of the programs, but the ActiveSync tells me that I am not able to copy contacts, calendars etc from my comp. I need to download first the Outlook Mobile, but I have it already. So probably I do again something wrong. I would appraciate if you could help me again.

Another question: I need to download the program for GPS navigation (not a Tomtom, another one only for Poland that takes less space than TomTom). Should I put it on the starage card (1GB) or to the memory of the device? What do you recommend??

Thanks a lot in advance!
