Guest pdtp Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 so i go camping this weekend and the weirdest thing happens. i notice that one of the four led's that make up the flash is flickering. i take the battery out and replace it, everything seams fine about an hour later i look at the back of it again and its flashing again! i call tech support the ship me over to the warenty deparment and tell me 30 min + so i decided to call monday. in the mean time i have no charger for my phone and the led is starting to put a hurt on my battry so i remove the batt for the night. this morning i call warrenty and wait for 15 min this time. they give me the scripted appology and begin wroking me threw there scripted hardware issue dialog. now im no idiot i know when its hardware and not software, but they still made me do a damn hard reset inorder for me to get an RMA for my phone. i swear they need some people who know that people are not idiots and know when s*** is broken. so anyways im glad i have SP Backup that totaly restored my phone back to the way it was before i did the hard reset. Ill have my new 8125 in 5 days so untill then i have to charge my phone everyday instead of every other day. ill have to make sure to put the shipped rom back onthe phone before i send it back.
Guest pdtp Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 ok so i got my new phone today and it is remanufactured. the only problem i see with it is that the stylus is a little loose and the fact that i now have a reman... phone and not a new one. on the plus side i had a small nick on the front and now i dont :)

Guest pdtp Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Sounds like the ROM you used might have caused the problem it was not the rom it was definitly hardware cus with the phone off the led would be lit, and it wasn't like a constant on it was a flicker.
