SP5 hangs on HTC screen if charging

Hi there,

I just noticed a really strange problem with my i-mate SP5. If I connect my phone to the mains charger and restart it, the phone does not boot up properly. It hangs on the white screen that says HTC Innovation (this is the third splash screen in the boot sequence). I waited for over 3 minutes before I decided to remove the battery. Once I disconnect from the charger, the phone boots up OK.

I am sure this behavior was not present earlier -- it used to restart while charging earlier. I played around with the location of my home screens (moved them to \Storage Card\My Documents) when I first noticed the problem. I now have the home screens back in \Application Data\Home, but still see this strange behavior.

Any clues anyone?
