Guest Pondrew Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 With regards the new look of MoDaCo: I think I speak for all the members who get less excited by the Football World Cup then by more important things like ladies, cars, computers and even wireless devices(!) when I say... Okay then... :)
Guest w411y Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 (edited) :) lol Theres a topic already started up in 'Modaco Online' :) Edited June 9, 2006 by w411y
Guest James Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 BEER time... and a bloody good excuse for one or two!! BEER i say! and SUN!
Guest sporkguy Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 I've already displayed my lack of motivation towards the world cup in the other thread :)
Guest leethacker Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 To be honest ... I hate football. And here in Austria we also have German television. And believe me ... I switch on the TV and freakin football is everywhere. Then I go to my PC ... and what do I have to see? ... Waaaaaaaah!
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Although I changed my avatar to a football theme temporarily I have yet to get excited about this tournament. I don't know whether its a prolonged hangover from the real season (if you know who the picture is you'll understand) or whether its just plain old cynicism at another overhyped England campaign. Come Saturday of course I'll be jumping up and down with everyone else !
Guest Pondrew Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 ...Come Saturday of course I'll be jumping up and down with everyone else ! Yep, I've already arranged to be in the pub 2moro watching the football myself. Double standards? Maybe :) I will say the World Cup theme on MoDaCo is growing on me. Kind of fun having the slogan change every refresh...
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 I'll be busy teaching archery to a load of 8-10 yr olds then working nightshift, so lucky for me I don't have to watch any footy.
Guest travisb Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 (edited) As someone who played at a reasonable amateur level, I loved playing. I also confess to being a weekend editor for a major Premiership club fanzine. But I don't get as excited by World Cups and European Championships. For me all I want is my club players to return without any injuries. However, like a moth to a flame, no doubt I'll get suckered in to the drama of it all! Edited June 9, 2006 by travisb
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 Give me an Arsenal game over an England game any day :) P
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Especially after the way they played :) General opinion at work was if they play like that against one of the bigger teams then it's a quick bus ride home.
