Guest xda_gangsta Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 (edited) hey everyone, I have to say that I dont really like most candybar phones except for the C500.. but now HTC is sooner or later going to release the new HTC Oxygen we've heard about.... now we know what it looks like but what do you all think? I say it looks ok but the key pad is a bit big.. plus it doesn't seem to have a joystick as navigation, what do u guys think also anyone know exactly when this thing is gonna be released? Guest w411y Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 (edited) Screen looks a bit small dont ya think? But heck, if it has WiFi then I wish that Orange would chose it over the Breeze regardless of that little screen. Much better looking than that damn ugly Breeze EDIT: Looking at that and my C550 at the same time... screen doesnt seem as small as I first thought Edited June 9, 2006 by w411y
Guest Posted June 10, 2006 Report Posted June 10, 2006 1st time I've seen that and to be honest I don't like it !! I agree with w411y in that it looks better than the breeze (not hard mind you :) but this still looks very plain! (compare to the SP5 and startrk for eg) my 2 sence! gR
Guest loki_f Posted June 10, 2006 Report Posted June 10, 2006 Screen res is low, I mean Canary level low... not QVGA like the latest set of devices and it is the first WM5 model I can think of with such a bad res (just remembered Moto Q also has it sort of). The spec doesn't even seem to be as good as the Tornado... Is this HTC's attempt at a low end Windows smartphone?

Guest w411y Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 If the screen res isn't QVGA and the Breeze doesnt have WiFi (Let alone its foul looks), why do HTC seem to be going backwards? By now I'm expecting smartphones with WiFi, a decent 2mp camera and stuff that symbians don't have.

Loki has a point, maybe they're trying to get a foot in the low cost phone market (although whats the bets it'll cost around 500 euro at the start :) ) Look at Nokia, they've 100 phones and excluding the top 10 or so the rest do pretty much the same thing!! who knows
