I have a v1240 from vodafone and have installed my TomTom that worked on my SPV c500, the software has loaded and the icon is visible on the desktop the problem is that when I try and run it the display screen is just a load of blurred lines, the system is working as i can navigate through the screens to exit the application (left soft key,6,6,5) and the voice can be heard if you adjust the volume setting.

Anyone have any ideas .

C500 ran WM2003 wheras the v1240 runs WM5 (Have you upgraded to AKU2?) - Have you checked TomTom's site for compatabily issues and possible patches?

Are you using tomtom v5.200? (i.e. have you applied the update here)?

I run v5.200 on my v1240 without error (both before and after the AKU2 update).

Like timmer_uk says you need to apply the 5.2 update not because of 2003/2005, but your C500 runs with a different screen resolution. The update will allow you to select the v1240 and replace the tomtom mobile.exe file, and a few others, with ones that supports your screen resolution
