Guest eyup Posted June 10, 2006 Report Posted June 10, 2006 Hi, this will be a daft question for most of you but I just read a review saying the C500 hand a non standard stereo jack. Is this correct? I was hoping to fill my SD card with music so i could connect up to a set of creative travel speakers via a 2.5mm to a 3.5mm standard stereo jack convertor. Is this possible? Thanks

Thanks I believe that non-standard part is the 2.5mm size. If you are going to use a convertor, you are already taking care of the non-standardness, aren't you? Pavan

Guest kenjones Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 Hi! Everyhing posted in this topic is true! I used a converter, but i wanted to enjoy even more the mp3 player capabilities of my smartphone, so i went a little further because i find the converter quite big and non-estethical + it`s not comfortable in my pocket. Here is what i did: I bought a 2.5 mm jack (just the jack) from an electrical store (price: 0.3 $), and i also bought a pair of headphones (this is great because you can choose whatever model, make you want, and because you can`t find 2.5 mm jack headphones at a great sound quality) So, i cut off the standard 3.5 mm jack on the headphones and i attached the 2.5 mm jack, so now i have a great pair of headphones with a 2.5 mm jack that goes directly into the phone, so NO converter! Note: Doing this you void the warranty of the headphones, and it is not recommanded that you do as described above unless you are qualified. If you don`t care about the warranty you can take it to a qualified person that could do the job for you, and i bet the price is really low!
