I have a Motorola MPX-220 with Windows Mobile 2003 OS

I have installed a SansDisk 1 gig miniSD.

How can I access files on my miniSD card from within Windows Media Player 9 series,

I can not find anyway to change the default path that Media Player look for filies.

It seems to only look at the /Storage/My Documents folder.

Any help would be apprecaited.

BTW: Is there anyway to upgrade this player to WMP10??

Thanks....

not fully sure but when in MP and in the Library so your browsing all your tracks go---> menu --> library --> storage card.

I don't have a MP9 device anymore but if the option is available thats where it should be.

MP10 would only come as part of a ROM upgrade. If you have the lastest 220 ROM and its not on it then I doubt theres any way to get it :)

In my Windows Media Player 9, the menu had the following items in it.

Menu

1 Local Content

3 Open URL

4 Properties

5 Settings

6 Delete

None of these items, I have been able to access the miniSD card to play an MP3, wav, etc.

Also I can not find a way to made the miniSD my default path.

Please advise...

Hi,

Windows Media Player 9 doesnt have any option to select files from a folder. The only possibility is, when you open Media Player, it will list all the media files on your phone and card. You can play from that.

If you want to select specific files, you can use TCPMP Player. It is a great software. I use it on my O2 Xphone (SPV e200).

Another cool feature of the TCPMP is the playlist. You can load files from your SD and save your selection as a playlist. then, keeping the files on your SD, you can load your preferred playlist anytime.

there are a lot of alternatives to wmp 9, including Pocket Music.. I would say consider something else, WMP 9 and even 10 aren't really good or not as good as the other appz
