SPV C500 file transfer problem (USB)

Hi...

Having problems transferring files from my spvc500 (orange) to my desktop pc. I can drag a folder from the phone to the pc and it will be created but with no contents. If i drag and drop a file from the phone to desktop for example it appears to have copied but then the file isnt visible and doesnt appear on any searches either.

Very strange because it works perfectly with works pc, mates pc and laptop just not home desktop.

Any ideas?

What version of Activesync are you using, also have you checked your firewall setings etc?

Active Sync 3.7.1

Same as the version im using at work and defo not firewall as ive already eliminated that. Also tried changing partnership, phone name etc

Proper annoying.

Are there any third party apps that do the same thing as active sync?

I've got an O2 Mini S and i'm having a very similar problem. Connected the phone and it syncs fine with outlook using Active sync 4.1.0. and if i want to drag a file from my pc to the phone it works fine but when i go the other way from the phone to the pc the progress bar claims to be doing it but the files disapear. very puzzling. Got a collegue at work with a pc set up exactly the same as mine yet when he connects my phone it lets him do the 2 way transfer. looked at loads of active sync settings to check that they are set up the same on both pc's and as far a we can see they are identical. any help would be appreciated.

This happens on my C550. I was using ActiveSync 3.8 then upgraded to 4.2 and neither of them fixed it. I think the problem lies on the computer somewhere because it works fine on my work PC.
