Headset problem with V1240

I have a vodafone V1240 and a Plantronics MX505 headset (single ear piece) to use in the car as they are amazing a getting rid of the background noise but i cant seem to get it to work, I can hear them but they cant hear me.

i have seen that i might have to use an adapter to get it to work properly but dont know which one to get or if the adapters are for stereo headsets only, as most people want them to use for listen to there music, whereas i just want to get my normal single ear piece boom mic headset to work.

You will need a stereo to mono adaptor as the headset you have will be three pin where as the V1240 uses a 4pin type.

For example,

Most adaptors are 2.5 to 3.5mm
