Guest stephen_oliver Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 This is a strange one. I have posted on other forums and have had no joy finding a solution, although I am not the only person to notice the problem. I upgraded the server to Exchange 2003 SP2 about 4 months ago. Around the same time an irregular user with an E100 started to have problems syncing. I lost my XDA2 a couple of weeks ago and now I am also using an old E100 pending a switch to WM5 devices and I now have the same problem. In order to synchronise with the server, I need to: * Sync, but use a bad password * When I get an error message, reenter the password but correctly and without saving it. Synchronisation then works perfectly. If I save the correct password, however, ActiveSync fails. I don't use SSL on the E100 (too much of a hassle to install the certificate). It all worked perfectly up until SP2, and I repeat, it DOES work PROVIDED YOU ENTER A BAD PASSWORD FIRST. Has anyone noticed this? Is there a fix? Slightly academic I admit as I am moving to Vodaphone and Qtek 8310s/9000s shortly, but it still bugs me.
