Guest nickcodefresh Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 I've been trying to find an application to automatically key lock my new SPV C600. I've found this application and managed to get it installed on the original C600 I received from Orange (which involved tweaking the registry to allow me to installed unsigned CAB files). Since that phone didn't allow me to make any calls I received a replacement. Unfortauntely I now can't install the application because I can't seem to edit the registry. I've tried a signed registry editor but any changes I make are undone as soon as I try to save them. After I compared my collegues C600 I discovered that I had a later version of the ROM (v2.0.6.0), OPERATOR (v11.2.1.5) and OS (5.1.195). I'm guessing Orange have tightened the security model. What I want to know is is there another signed application that you can use to lock the phone, or is there a way to unlock these modern versions of the C600? Thanks for any help you can give Nick
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 Welcome to the forum :) Nowadays you need to send an email to [email protected] Provide name, email address, mobile device, mobile number, IMEI and give them a few days to respond. They will send you a PC-side installer for an application that will allow you to change security levels and is specific to your IMEI.
