Guest imran_111 Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 I've been using an SP5m for a few days now. I upgraded the ROM after buying the phone so I now have 2.6.331.1 I have been facing a very small (but irritating) problem with my phone and was wondering if anyone else has come across it and knows of a fix. Our home screen has a bar on the top which displays battery information, signal strength and the GPRS logo. When scrolling through menus or running an application the top bar normally displays the name of the application and the battery info + signal strength. Sometimes this top bar becomes blank on my phone, like if I go into the start menu the bar becomes completely blank instead of displaying the information it should. Similarly when I go into messaging the bar sometimes becomes blank as a result of which I cannot tell whether I'm in abc mode, t9 mode, etc. Sometimes when I make a call and switch on the speakerphone the speaker icon is not displayed in the top bar. I've tried a hard reset but this problem comes back. Could this be some problem with my device or is just one of those MS bugs which they havent bothered fixing?
Guest Tech Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 (edited) its not a bug but by design. And really comes under ROM customization from the OEM, not by MS. Edited June 14, 2006 by Tech
Guest imran_111 Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 its not a bug but by design. And really comes under ROM customization from the OEM, not by MS. i think you didnt exactly understand the problem i was referring to. the bar at the top goes blank sometimes, and sometimes it display incorrect text, like i'll be at the start menu and it'll be displaying messaging (which was the last app i used). the place where this irks me the most is when i'm writing a message, if the bar goes blank i cant see if i'm in t9 or abc, 123 mode!
