Qtek 8310 : No Keypad Backlight when unlocking phone?

Hi folks

I'm both extremely happy and impressed with my Qtek 8310 mobile. However, there is a slightly irritating problem that I'm facing with it.

I always lock my phone's keypad when I'm not using the phone but, in dark situations, when I want to unlock the phone, I can't see the keys, as the keypads backlight doesn't turn on untill AFTER I have entered the password :)

Is there any solution to this? Maybe in form of a registry setting?
